My name is Mohammad Samir. I am from ETAWAH (UP). I have a B.sc(Mathematics) background. I am pursuing MCA(Master in Computer Application) from JNU(Jawaharlal Nehru University).

After completing B.Sc., I had no idea.  What should I do next? After this I came to Kanpur for further studies. And for the first time I went to Maarula Classes and met Amit Katiyar Sir. • Course Duration:

The course duration was the most important factor for me to choose JNU. Here, the MCA programme spans 2 years of which only 3 semesters are dedicated to studies and the last one is work experience/project. Which means that you get an upper hand on those who are pursuing the same course for 3 years.

However this might not be suitable for non cs students. But for CS students, this might prove to be the right choice.

• Fee :-

Apart from MCA, fees for other courses are also very low in JNU. After talking to some people, I have come to know that the purpose of making this university is that everyone, whether poor or rich, can come and study here.

• Hostels :-

There is a hostel facility inside the JNU campus. There are a total of 18 hostels here. The hostels are well built but have become quite old and the rooms are not very big but are comfortable to stay in.

• Placement Prospects:

One of the key attractions of pursuing MCA at JNU is the promising placement record. The university’s strong connections with leading IT companies and tech giants ensure that students have access to a wide array of placement opportunities. The placement cell actively engages with industry partners to facilitate campus placements, bringing renowned recruiters to the doorstep of aspiring MCA graduates.but Since covid the placement here have not been good.

• Canteen and cafeterias :–

There are many canteens and dhavas in JNU and the most famous are Ganga dhava and Sabarmati.  One thing is special in JNU, apart from education here, food is also very cheap and good, you can talk about canteen or mess.
